Mafia: The Old Country is set in Sicily, Italy, during the 1900s in the fictional town of San Celeste, which was previously featured in Mafia II.[4] It is based around the origins of the Sicilian Mafia.[1] The narrative follows Enzo Favara (Riccardo Frascari) who journeys from a childhood of indentured labor as a carusu in Sicily's sulfur mines to joining Don Torissi (Johnny Santiago), the head of the Torrisi crime family.[2]
