Genesis 3

Genesis 3 tells the story of the Fall of Man, a pivotal moment in the Bible. It begins with the serpent, the craftiest of all creatures, tempting Eve to eat the forbidden fruit from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. Eve and Adam both eat the fruit, disobeying God’s command. As a result, their eyes are opened, and they become aware of their nakedness and sin. God confronts them, pronounces the consequences of their actions, including pain, hardship, and mortality, and ultimately banishes them from the Garden of Eden to prevent them from eating from the Tree of Life and living forever. This chapter explains the origin of sin and humanity's separation from God, setting the stage for redemption.
