PHOENIX UNION SCHOOL BOARD VIOLATES MEETING RULES

"Good morning. Last night, Phoenix Union Board President and Parliamentarian shut me down for reading the Lord's Prayer.

The ruling by the Parliamentarian, "We cannot have a religious prayer before the land acknowledgement."

I was ruled out of order yet simultaneously told the Board doesn't follow Roberts Rules of Order, it's merely a suggestion. Our Phoenix Union Board policies state otherwise.

Additionally, I made multiple attempts for Roll Call on action items and a motion to adjourn, all were swiftly ignored by Board President Napa simply with, "No." Again, our Board policies prescribe the President must do otherwise.

I will be seeking any and all possible remedies to ensure the Phoenix Union Governing Board follows proper governance of meetings."
