Throughout World War 2, there were many execution methods deployed to bring someone's life to an end. But inside of Mauthausen was the notorious and terrifying Stairs of Death, a set of 186 steps in which inmates were driven up and down many times a day. But the guards of the camp themselves used the structure for torture and execution.
