The Story of Salvation Part 2: The Rescue Plan

1

The Son of God was incarnated to pay for the sins of humanity and rescue the lost. Salvation is not forced on anyone, but eternity will be filled with torment without it. Jesus told Nicodemus it was necessary to be born again, and in doing so, referred to the time poisonous serpents entered the Israelite camp in the wilderness.

People are still healed today when the God-man is lifted up for all to see. Not all religions are equally valid and that is why Jesus emphatically stated He is the only way to heaven. The first two humans rebelled against God and became sinful.

While their physical bodies continued living, their spirits died instantly, hence the need to be born again. The Holy Spirit brings conviction and leads people to repentance. This is why Jesus is described as the way, the truth, and the life because He came to seek and save the lost. The choice is yours. You can accept the love of God or perish on your own.
