The Seven Silly Eaters

Written by Mary Ann Hoberman and illustrated by Marla Frazee.

The story follows the Peters family, whose seven children are each extremely picky eaters, each demanding a single, specific food: Peter only drinks warm milk, Lucy insists on homemade pink lemonade, Jack eats only applesauce, Mac requires lumpless oatmeal, Mary Lou wants soft and squishy homemade bread, and the twins, Flo and Fran, eat only poached and fried eggs respectively.

As each new child is born, Mrs. Peters lovingly tries to fulfill their unique food requests, leading to an increasingly exhausting routine that leaves her overwhelmed and frazzled.
