Genesis 2

Genesis 2 gives a more detailed account of the creation of man and woman. God forms man from the dust of the ground and breathes into his nostrils the breath of life, making him a living being. He places the man in the Garden of Eden, a beautiful paradise with rivers and trees, including the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God instructs man to care for the garden and not to eat from the tree of knowledge. Seeing that it is not good for man to be alone, God creates woman from the man’s rib, establishing the foundation of marriage and companionship.
