Former US Army officer and ESW Eurasia Editor Stanislav Krapivnik recorded a video for his Eyes of Truth YouTube channel where he discussed the upcoming Trump-Putin meeting on August 7, 2025. Stas mentions how the Russian Army officers he speaks with don't want a peace deal that leaves the Zelensky wartime dictatorship in power to re arm for renewed fighting. He also spoke to the bitter opposition among the Euro-Atlanticists, the British deep state and hardcore Banderite ultranationalists in Ukraine to any peace deal that doesn't amount to a Russian capitulation.
