Everyone deserves a home. They make it illegal for you to go into the forest and try and provide for yourself. They even tax your home so you never really own it Gotta burry a body on that property!
Then there's the hoa, the rules and ordnances telling you what you can do on your property America sold us a lie the homestead act just allowed the government to take our land to be controlled by the blm bureau of land management and the forestry department.
They don't even take care of the forests how they should making them dangerous to homes in the surrounding areas which we have been experiencing like paradise CA.

WE EXPERIENCED THE FORCE THE GOVERNMENT COULD IMPOSE ON US ALL IN THE NAME OF PUBLIC SAFTEY SO CALLED CONVID!! ESPECIALLY NOW THEY HAVE PASSED THE PLANDEMIC TREATY..

This is ALL of our problem!! Freedom isn't free!!
This is part of the Great reset you will own nothing and be happy they are trying to push us to the point where we beg for their help!!
it will all be control.
This will eventually effect us all Do you really think your home isn't at risk?
What if you lose your home like the housing crash in 2008 something far worse is coming think Cuba or Venezuela they used to be successful until America stepped in to "help"

Like back in the day where they did horrific experiments on those poor people in facilities in the early 1900's.

Civil commitment
is a legal process where a person can be involuntarily admitted to a psychiatric facility or treatment program due to a mental health condition that poses a danger to themselves or others, or if they are unable to care for themselves.
It's a mechanism to provide treatment and support for individuals who are deemed to lack the capacity to make informed decisions about their own care.

Incarcerating homeless individuals is significantly more expensive than providing them with housing and supportive services.

Studies show that criminalizing homelessness, through measures like enforcing laws against loitering or sleeping in public, can cost taxpayers upwards of $30,000 to $50,000 per person annually.

In contrast, providing supportive housing, which includes individualized services like mental health and substance use support, can cost around $10,000 to $42,000 per year.

In response to the White House's Executive Order on homelessness, mental illness, and public safety,
the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is authorized to require the collection of health data from participants in its programs.

This data can be shared with law enforcement where permitted by law.

However, counties will need to carefully consider these requirements in light of existing privacy regulations and their own operational practices.

This development raises concerns about data privacy, with some organizations suggesting it could have significant implications for individuals' fundamental rights.

The U.S. Supreme Court, in the case City of Grants Pass, Oregon v. Johnson, ruled that cities can enforce laws against sleeping in public spaces, even when individuals have nowhere else to go,
and that such enforcement does not violate the Eighth Amendment's prohibition of cruel and unusual punishment, according to the ACLU of Southern California and KTVU.
This decision effectively allows cities to issue citations, fines, and even jail time to individuals for sleeping outdoors.

President Trump signed an executive order titled "Ending Crime and Disorder on America's Streets," focusing on addressing homelessness and mental health issues.

The order aims to shift away from "housing first" policies, emphasizing treatment and recovery for individuals with severe mental illness or addiction.

It encourages states to utilize involuntary commitment for those experiencing homelessness and mental health or substance use disorders.

The order also directs the federal government to redirect resources towards programs that address substance abuse and mental health as part of homelessness solutions.

The Criminalization of Homelessness

The criminalization of homelessness refers to measures that prohibit life-sustaining activities such as sleeping/camping, eating, sitting, and/or asking for money/resources in public spaces. These ordinances include criminal penalties for violations of these acts. Some criminalization measures include:

Carrying out sweeps: confiscating personal property including tents, bedding, papers, clothing, medications, etc.
Making panhandling illegal.
Making it illegal for groups to share food with homeless persons in public spaces.

Enforcing a “quality of life” ordinance relating to public activity and hygiene.

The criminalization of homelessness refers to laws and ordinances that punish people for engaging in life-sustaining activities in public spaces, such as sleeping, eating, or resting, when they have no other housing options.

This often involves enforcing other laws like loitering or jaywalking in a discriminatory manner against homeless individuals.

These practices are not effective in reducing homelessness and can have severe negative consequences for those affected.

Idaho law makes it illegal to sleep in a vehicle on public property in cities with a population of 100,000 or more.
This includes streets, sidewalks, and parks.
The law, which takes effect on July 1st, aims to address public camping and sleeping, particularly by individuals experiencing homelessness.

The White House has proposed cutting the Section 8 housing voucher program and reducing overall rental assistance by about 40% in its 2026 budget request for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The plan would lower HUD’s funding from $77 billion to $43.5 billion, including $26.7 billion in rental assistance cuts.

It would replace the federal Section 8 system, which currently helps about 2.3 million households, with state-run block grants.

The proposal also includes a two-year limit on rental assistance for able-bodied adults, aiming to focus more support on elderly and disabled individuals.

An additional $25 million would go toward housing support for youth aging out of foster care.

The plan comes as many renters face high housing costs and homelessness remains a growing issue.

HUD Budget Cuts: What You NEED to Know (Backed by Facts, Not Fear)

The Trump administration has released its proposed FY2026 federal budget, which includes significant cuts to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This could directly affect Section 8 vouchers, housing choice programs, and other rental assistance efforts, particularly in Florida counties like Polk, Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco.

KEY FINDINGS:

• The budget proposes $163 billion in federal spending cuts, including a 23% reduction in non-defense discretionary programs like HUD.

• HUD could face a 40%+ funding cut, including:

• Over $27 billion in rental assistance reductions

• Elimination of certain public housing capital programs

• A potential 50% staffing reduction at HUD, including cuts to Fair Housing enforcement teams

• These are proposed cuts only they are not law and require Congressional approval.

LOCAL IMPACT (Florida Residents, Take Note):

📍 Polk County (Lakeland Housing Authority):

• Section 8 waitlist currently closed, updates posted at https://www.lakelandhousing.org/

📍 Hillsborough County (Tampa Housing Authority):
• High demand for vouchers, waitlists often full

• Affordable housing programs listed here:

📍 Pinellas County:
• Waitlist closed, but specific properties like Landings at Cross Bayou periodically reopen

• Info: https://pinellashousing.com/.../housing-choice-voucher.../
📍 Pasco County:

• The Section 8 waitlist WILL OPEN May 21–May 23, 2025. Don’t miss this chance!

LET’S ADDRESS THE MISINFORMATION:

“Section 8 is being eliminated!”

FALSE. The program is not being eliminated, proposed budget cuts are not yet law. Congress still needs to vote. Until then, your local Housing Authority programs remain operational.

“All HUD programs are ending!”
FALSE.
The budget proposes deep reductions, not full eliminations. Many programs will continue, though possibly with reduced funding.

MY MESSAGE TO FLORIDA FAMILIES:

These headlines are scary, but fear shouldn’t lead to misinformation. The truth is this:
➡️ Programs are still running
➡️ Help is still available
➡️ You have time to plan, advocate, and prepare
