In this episode of Reading the Book of Mark Together we focus on The Parisees, Were they as evil and terrible as everyone makes out? Jesus calls them Hypocrites but I have to argue that I think They were as close to keeping the Law as you could get without Jesus. I annalyse a really deeply thought out and message on here regarding lust and meat eating and I call out the Prosperity Gospel.

Also Today I found out that over 20,000 Christians were murdered in the 365 days leading up to the middle of June. There will be more on this tomorrow. As we hold these brothers and sisters in prayer, we turn our attention to Mark 7:1-13, where Jesus confronts the Pharisees and teachers of the law about the dangers of empty rituals and hypocrisy. His words challenge us to examine the sincerity of our faith and the heart behind our actions.

Join me as we explore:

The cultural and religious context of Jesus’ confrontation.

The tension between tradition and true worship.

What it means to honor God with both heart and action.

May this study deepen your understanding of authentic faith, especially in a world where it often comes at great cost.

🙏 Please remember to pray for persecuted Christians worldwide and stand with them in solidarity.
