In the last game of the U13 season between JFS and PVU, the story went far beyond the scoreboard.

From the very start, the referees’ ego took center stage, even halting the match over a harmless camera presence with the infamous line: "I don’t want him here. Simple as that!" Questionable calls, lopsided enforcement, and tension on the field didn’t stop our ten-player squad from fighting through and pulling off a win.

But the real victory came after the final whistle, when both coaches shared an honest, constructive conversation, the kind of exchange referees could learn from. In a twist, these same referees were dismissed from the very next game, as one coach opted to send them home and let the teams enjoy a friendly practice, scrimmage instead.

This video captures it all, the full game, the challenges, the questionable officiating, and the spirit of the players and coaches who rose above it.

Fan Bunch in Action, because youth soccer deserves better than ego-driven officiating.
