Summertime Kayak Fishing A Grass Filled River

The grass is growing super fast with the warm water from all this heat and is about as thick as I've ever seen it in 25 years of fishing this river. We caught a lot of good size, healthy smallmouth on this trip on several different lures. The Thomas Custom Painted lures, Skywalker and BAMbino crankbaits n SoHo Craw color, were the baits of the day for me and I also caught some on the Ned Rig and Swimbait with an underspin.
