Tenant wants to talk 💬 before eviction court ⚖️… here’s what I told her 👀

Today I met with a tenant who wanted to talk about her upcoming court date for Summary Ejectment — the legal process for eviction in North Carolina.
Her account is delinquent due to unpaid rent, and our company policy is clear:
❌ No partial payments once eviction has been filed
✅ The full balance — including rent arrears and delinquent account charges — must be paid in full to stop the court action
This isn’t about “kicking people out” — it’s about upholding the lease agreement and protecting the landlord’s investment. In property management, it’s simple:
💡 If you do not pay, you do not stay.
I explained to her that if she wishes to remain a tenant, the entire balance must be brought current before the court date. If not, the case will proceed before the magistrate.
This is the business side of real estate — setting clear expectations, following legal processes, and treating all tenants equally under the terms of their lease.
