Season 3 Episode 108: They Are Willingly Ignorant That The World Had Perished Being Flooded By Water

Since we have been discussing all the fossil and geological evidence that verifies the Biblical Account of a Global catastrophic Flood, it is a good time to address the AGE of the earth.

When I ask people what FACTS have convinced them about evolution, one of the most common answers I get is that science has proven that the earth is BILLIONS of years old. When I ask how, they usually say, “Through CARBON DATING.”

However, what most people are referring to when they point to the age of the earth is RADIOMETRIC DATING of the ROCKS. Geologists use the principle of radioactive decay in rocks and ash exposed to the earth’s surface to assess how long ago they came out of the earth, generally through volcanism.
The problem with Radiometric dating is that although it is possible to measure PRESENT isotope ratios in mineral bearing rocks, there is no way of knowing what the INITIAL ratios were in order to calculate the age of a rock.
