The Bunny is Thinking About... The Monster Squad!

In 1987 a movie hit the Summer Box Office! It was The Goonies meets The Universal Monsters and it was a bomb because of its muddled and inconsistent marketing and a crowded theatre. However, when it hit the Televisions screens in syndication it took off! Without the muddled studio messaging, people discovered a unique blend of monster movie, coming of age, group of kids overcoming incredible odds and a deep unique lore unlike anything we had seen before. I prefer The Monster Squad over E.T. and The Goonies! I maintain it is the best ensemble movie of the mid 80's!
