Created by Apogee in 1990, Commander Keen 1: Marooned on Mars is the first of a trilogy in the Commander Keen game series. Though there are many other Keen games, this is the first. If you are not aware, Apogee made many great games in their early days, rebranded themselves as 3D Realms, and then back to Apogee in 2008. Look 'em up and try out a few games. You won't be disappointed.
