Eggs are the most absorbable form of protein, which sets them apart from other sources of protein, such as meat and fish. Protein is an essential building block for muscles, tendons, and ligaments. It’s vital for repair, hormone and enzyme composition, and can even be used as a fuel source. When you consume animal protein, you can only use 10 to 20 percent for fuel. In comparison, 65% of an egg can be used as fuel! Eggs also contain anti-microbial proteins and have iron and biotin-binding properties. Eggs have all the amino acids, including leucine, which is the key amino acid in muscle building. Eggs are the second-highest source of choline, which prevents a fatty liver and helps make up bile. Choline is also essential for a process called methylation. Eggs contain lutein and zeaxanthin, powerful antioxidants that support the health and function of the retina and brain. They contain phospholipids, which further support the membranes of the brain and other bodily tissues. Eating eggs can even help lower blood pressure! Eggs contain vitamin K2, which helps transport calcium and keep it out of the soft tissues, directing it instead into the teeth and bones. They contain the active form of vitamin A and also contain vitamin D. Approximately 65% of all eggs consumed are conventional, which come from caged chickens. Cage-free is a better option, but it doesn’t guarantee the chickens have outdoor access. Organic pasture-raised eggs are the best option. Organic refers to the feed that’s given to the chicken, and “vegetarian-fed” does not necessarily mean the egg is better. Conventional eggs come from chickens that are fed GMO corn and soy, so the eggs have a higher omega-6 content. Dr. Seheult shares some fascinating new research about the ability of sunlight to penetrate the human body. It’s been previously thought that the sun could only penetrate a few centimeters into our bodies, but recent research has shown that it can penetrate the entire body and can even be measured on the other side. Surprisingly, randomized, placebo-controlled studies have shown that light can affect parts of the body that were not exposed to sunlight. This phenomenon is known as the abscopal effect. This means that mitochondria from one part of the body can communicate with each other and upregulate, even if they are not directly exposed to light. Infrared light can stimulate the mitochondria to produce more melatonin, which can reduce oxidative stress. It’s not significantly affected by the atmosphere, so you can get it almost any time of the day. UVB light, which you need to make vitamin D, is more abundant when the sun is at its highest. Green trees, leaves, and grass reflect infrared light. To maximize infrared light absorption, head to green spaces where nature can reflect infrared light back to you! The Green Heart Study measured the HSCRP, which correlates with the risk of stroke or heart attack, in residents of South Louisville, Kentucky —a region characterized by concrete and a lack of greenery. Approximately 8,000 trees were planted in a 4-square-mile area, and the HSCRP was remeasured. This resulted in a 13% to 20% average drop in HSCRP, which correlates to a 10% to 15% reduction in stroke and heart attack risk, without any changes in diet or exercise. Dr. Seheult also explains that daytime light exposure helps with sleep by supporting the circadian rhythm, while nighttime light exposure can have an opposite effect. Seed oils cause damage to the cell membranes (which contain insulin receptors) and damage to the mitochondria. There is evidence that unsaturated fatty acids can reduce the risk of diabetes, but this is not the case with rancid, oxidized seed oils. These highly refined seed oils are full of toxic byproducts such as aldehydes, which create irreversible damage in the insulin receptor. The average person consumes 25%-30% of their calories from seed oils. You can have high insulin and normal blood sugar for many years. Beta carotene is not the same as vitamin A's active form. Synthetic beta carotene, made from coal tar and petroleum, can increase the risk of certain cancers. Folic acid is different from folate, the natural form of vitamin B9. Around 30% to 40% of the world's population has an alteration of the MTHFR gene, which interferes with their ability to turn folic acid into folate, causing it to build up in the blood. This can lead to an increased risk of cancer and a suppressed immune system. Synthetic B12, or cyanocobalamine, requires glutathione to convert to the active form methylcobalamine. Consuming large amounts of synthetic B12 depletes you of this vital antioxidant. Calcium carbonate is the main ingredient in many popular multivitamins. It can build up in the arteries and kidneys and increase your risk of a heart attack. Too much iron can increase your risk of type 2 diabetes, liver issues, Parkinson’s, and Alzheimer’s. Many iron supplements contain ferrous sulfate, a damaging, poor-quality source of iron. Magnesium oxide is a cheap, poorly-absorbed form of magnesium that frequently causes diarrhea. Choose magnesium glycinate for significantly better absorption, better sleep, lower cortisol, and more overall benefits. Synthetic vitamin D is called ergocalciferol and is made by exposing fungus or yeast to UV radiation. Vitamin D2 is not nearly as beneficial as vitamin D3, yet it’s the most prescribed. Don’t consume supplements with added omega-6 fat, often in the form of linoleic acid. Too much omega-6 fat increases inflammation. We need copper, but high amounts of cheap copper can be toxic. RFK Jr. did not say that Tylenol causes autism, but that it could be a contributing factor that can influence susceptible people to develop autism. He has raised awareness of this link and has called for further research. Tylenol is used for fevers, headaches, pain, menstrual cramps, and more. Most people think it doesn't have many side effects, but it’s the leading cause of acute liver failure. Over 80,000 people each year end up in the ER because of too much acetaminophen. Tylenol’s active ingredient depletes glutathione and is found in over 600 medications. A fever is a natural immune reaction to an infection, and suppressing this can increase the infection’s duration. There are multiple causes of autism. One involves a genetic component with the MTHFR gene, which weakens your ability to detoxify and increases your risk of a folate deficiency. Leucovorin is a synthetic folate derivative recommended for some instances of autism. This medication could be beneficial and may provide optimal results if taken with B12, B2, B6, magnesium, and zinc. One study found that between 56% and 75% of those with autism had a folate deficiency! In another trial, synthetic folate boosted IQs by 25% to 50% compared to the placebo. Independent research is needed to explore the vaccine link to autism. Don’t eat until you’re hungry! People often eat for emotional reasons. This trains the body to associate food with stress relief, happiness, and pleasure. Many people will also keep eating even after they’re full. Constant eating leaves you constantly bloated and turning to antacids for relief. It overwhelms the microbes, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and stomach, causing them to work overtime. If you’re eating when you’re not hungry, you’re constantly spiking insulin. Insulin is the hormone that causes fat storage and removes sugar from the blood. When you have chronic high insulin, you develop a protective mechanism called insulin resistance, where insulin no longer works. This leads to more hunger and cravings. If you only eat when you are hungry, your body will tell you how long you should fast. Fasting allows you to burn your own fat for fuel. Other than fat burning, other intermittent fasting benefits include brain cell growth, elevated mood, improved cognitive function, and decreased inflammation. There is no one bad food, and you can consume “everything in moderation”. These diet lies will not work! All calories are not the same! Let’s look at the hormone insulin, which tells calories where to go. If insulin is high, your carbohydrates will be stored as fat. If it’s low, those calories will be burned. All it takes is a small amount of carbohydrates to raise insulin and prevent your body from burning fat. Cortisol, the stress hormone, can indirectly raise your insulin. Ground whole grain corn This is derived from dent corn, also known as field corn. This GMO corn contains traces of glyphosate, an herbicide linked to cancer. Dent corn may also sit for a year before turning into dog food, developing a deadly aflatoxin, also known to cause cancer. Dogs are not meant to consume high amounts of grain! This highly refined starch is just hidden sugar that does not have to be listed on the label. The average dog food is about 48% carbohydrate, which can create metabolic issues, a fatty liver, and obesity. 2. Meat and bone meal This “meal” is typically sourced from dead, dying, diseased, or disabled animals. Euthanized dogs can even be used to create meat and bone meal! 3. Soybean meal Dogs are not meant to consume soybeans, especially highly processed GMO soy. Soybean meal is processed with chemical solvents like hexane and contains phytonutrients that can affect the thyroid, hormones, and offspring if your dog is pregnant. 4. Animal fat This sounds healthy, but it is usually combined with highly oxidized seed oils preserved with chemicals such as BHA or BHT—carcinogens banned in Europe. 5. Corn gluten meal This ethanol byproduct contains a corn protein called zein, which is incomplete and poorly absorbed. 6. Chicken byproduct meal This ingredient also includes dead, dying, diseased, and disabled animals (4D’s), which may also contain antibiotics. 7. Red 40, Yellow 6, Blue 2 Dangerous dog food additives like food coloring can cause neurological issues and contribute to tumor formation. 8. Animal digest This is slaughterhouse waste! 9. Wheat middlings This wheat industry waste product contains ethoxyquin, a carcinogenic ingredient banned in Europe. It can also form acrylamide when cooked, which can trigger cancer and liver problems. You can drink tea and coffee without cream or sugar and have water with lemon during your 5-day fast. Plenty of sun, long walks in nature, hot and cold therapy, and HIIT can also enhance the benefits of prolonged fasting. On day 2 of prolonged fasting, you get deeper into ketosis, which means your body burns fat for energy. Autophagy typically begins on the second day of prolonged fasting. This is the process in which the body recycles damaged proteins and uses them for fuel and new tissues. On day 3, brain function and mood continue to improve. BDNF is stimulated, which helps support brain cell regeneration and increases your learning capacity. Slowly begin the refeeding process with around ¼ of your typical calories. Try an egg with sauerkraut, and then wait a few hours before consuming something like a small amount of soup with avocado. After a few more hours, consume berries and nuts. Wait before introducing a full meal and avoid sugar and carbohydrates. High-quality food is vital at this time! Glucose is the body’s preferred energy source! If glucose is so good for you, why does your body do everything it can to eliminate it from your blood? The average thin person has about 100,000 calories of stored fat and only 1,700 calories of glucose. When you consume sugar, it’s removed from the blood very quickly, and the excess sugar is converted into fat. The body requires a small amount of glucose, but your body can make this small amount. The single root cause of chronic disease is high glucose! Blood sugar spikes create inflammation on the inside of the arteries, leading to chronically high insulin levels to remove the sugar. The body compensates with insulin resistance to slow down the glucose that enters the cells. You probably wouldn’t want to eat moldy bread, but moldy cheese will not negatively affect your health. The mold on cheese does not produce a harmful byproduct like some other molds. Avoid moldy foods such as peanuts, rice, grains, corn, dried fruit, and coffee. Eating mold on these foods can be harmful to your liver and can even cause cancer. If you have mold or fungus in or on your body, it’s probably not related to eating mold, but an issue with your microbiome. In a healthy microbiome, you have abundant good bacteria and are typically unaffected by fungus, mold, and yeast. When your gut bacteria are destroyed, fungus and mold can overgrow. Anything over 4500 steps shows cardiovascular benefits, and taking more than 7000 steps daily significantly improves your health, including longevity. Walking after a meal can help eliminate any extra sugar you consume. If you wake up with high blood glucose, a morning walk can help lower it and prevent it from being converted into fat. Walking activates your muscles and can improve mood issues like depression. It lowers high blood pressure and can boost weight loss, especially visceral fat loss. Walking while fasting can significantly improve fasting benefits. Walking briskly and walking uphill enhances the benefits of walking. A 2017 Japanese study found that 3 minutes of fast-paced walking followed by 3 minutes of regular walking significantly affected blood pressure levels and leg strength. Repeating this cycle 5 times was more beneficial than 1.5 to 2 hours of walking. For more walking benefits, try backward walking! It strengthens the knees, ankles, and hips. Nasal breathing while walking can increase CO2, which makes oxygen more efficient in your blood. Walking can reduce cortisol naturally, helping to relieve stress. Leave your phone and music at home, and focus on the sights, sounds, and smells during your walk. Another way to increase the benefits of walking is with hypoxia training. To do this, inhale for 3 steps and exhale for 4 steps. You can also try holding your breath for 5 to 10 seconds, every few minutes. Hypoxia training can trigger genes that can strengthen your body, decrease inflammation, and improve recovery. Most people don’t know about the invisible middleman making more than 10 of the top drug companies combined. Healthcare may seem like a broken system, but it’s actually not broken at all. It works great; it’s just not working for you. Pharmacy benefit managers use their contracts to make massive profits off of everyone. PBMs may appear to be helpful. They negotiate lower prices for manufacturing companies, reduce out-of-pocket expenses, and handle logistics between employers and insurance companies. Pharmacy benefit managers charge the employer a very high price and pay the pharmacies a very low price, pocketing the difference. This is known as spread pricing. PBMs decide which drugs your plan covers, how much you’ll pay out of pocket, which pharmacy you can use, and when or if you’ll get your medication. Cheaper and better drugs are often denied if PBMs don’t get a big enough rebate. They can even force you to fill your prescriptions at specific PBM pharmacies for more profit. Drug companies have to give PBMs a kickback or “rebate” to get their drugs covered by insurance companies. To afford this rebate, drug companies raise the list price, and PBMs promote the drug that gives them the most profit. Pharmacy benefit managers own insurance companies and pharmacies. Three of the largest PBMs control 80% of the medications in the U.S. Surprisingly, PBMs don’t exist in other countries. Always take copper with zinc to avoid a copper deficiency. Some parts of the immune system benefit from high doses of zinc, while others thrive with just the right amount of zinc. Taking 100 to 200 mg of zinc for 3 days is beneficial if you have an inflammatory infection, but high doses of zinc for extended periods can also be damaging. Know when to take zinc and avoid high doses for long periods. 2. No cofactors taken with zinc Cofactors are vitamins and minerals that work together to allow our biochemistry to work. For zinc to function properly in the body, you need adequate magnesium, vitamin B6, and folate. 3. Blood tests do not reflect what's going on deeper in your cells. Taking too much vitamin D can be dangerous if you have hypercalcemia, or too much calcium in the blood. This can lead to kidney stones. A lack of vitamin D is also dangerous! If you’re deficient in vitamin D, you are more susceptible to autoimmune diseases, which is currently the world’s largest health problem. Vitamin D is involved in over 2500 genes and is intimately involved in every part of your immune system. You need a maintenance dose of 8,000 to 10,000 IU of vitamin D daily for healthy immune function. Many people can not get adequate vitamin D from the sun or their food. Genetic factors can contribute to vitamin D resistance. Low magnesium, zinc, and vitamin K2 can also inhibit the absorption of vitamin D. Certain viruses downgrade vitamin D receptors, weakening your immune function. Our RDAs are also far too low. There are several ways to maximize vitamin D benefits while also preventing adverse vitamin D side effects. Take the cofactors magnesium, zinc, and vitamin K2 with vitamin D. Limit your calcium intake, especially when taking a high dose of vitamin D. You can also increase fluid intake to 2.5 liters per day to prevent kidney stones. If your thyroid hormones are too high, you may notice bulging eyes, a fast metabolism, significant weight loss, and excessive sweating. A hypothyroid will cause weight gain and hair loss. Around 90% of hypothyroidism is an issue related to the immune system called Hashimoto’s. If you have Hashimoto’s, you’ll want to avoid gluten and increase selenium and vitamin D3. Androgens include testosterone and DHT. High levels of androgens can cause acne, specifically around the jawline and on the back. Women may experience a deepened voice, increased facial hair, and may also notice hair thinning. Men with high androgens may experience balding. Claims that the carnivore diet could be dangerous in the long term discourage people from trying it. Amidst claims that a meat-only diet could be dangerous, our current dietary standards leave the population riddled with chronic disease. When first starting a meat-only diet, most people lose excess water weight. Your carbs are essentially dropped to zero, so you quickly get into ketosis. A 30-day carnivore diet can also improve gut health and digestion, and boost weight loss. Plants and fiber are not the best options for healing the gut. Adding fiber to an inflamed gut will only make matters worse. Plants also do not contain vital amino acids. When you go on a 30-day carnivore diet, you stop consuming grains, the source of most of our sugar consumption. Refined starch made from grains will spike your blood sugar even higher than actual sugar. Most grains are genetically modified, sprayed with chemicals, and contain traces of glyphosate, which is classified as an antibiotic. When you eliminate sugar and refined grains from the diet, you stop feeding the pathogens in your microbiome. This can starve and eliminate an overgrowth of fungus, candida, and yeast. Insulin resistance is primarily caused by the consumption of sugar and starches. You may notice that diseases or symptoms related to insulin resistance will disappear after only eating meat for 30 days. As your gut heals and inflammation decreases, you can absorb more vitamin D. Healing your gut also positively affects your brain, improving mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. For the best carnivore diet results, consume the whole animal, including bone broth, skin, and organ meats. Incorporating fish, shellfish, and eggs in a 30-day carnivore diet is also beneficial. Let’s compare some of ChatGPT’s health tips to my health advice and see how they stack up. When asked about weight loss, ChatGPT explains that “losing weight comes down to creating a sustainable calorie deficit.” This is a persistent dogma that focuses on how much you eat rather than what you eat! This advice makes sustainable weight loss difficult and will not eliminate cravings and hunger. ChatGPT recommends the Mediterranean diet as best for overall health. It groups red meat, sugar, and processed foods together as foods to avoid and recommends plant-based diets as superior. ChatGPT recommends avoiding keto and carnivore diets on a long-term basis. ChatGPT health advice comes from organizations such as the American Heart Association and the American Diabetes Association, which are heavily funded by certain industries and inherently biased. To lower cholesterol, ChatGPT claims you should lower dietary cholesterol, increase unsaturated fats, and replace animal proteins with plant proteins. Plants do not have complete protein, and if you reduce your dietary cholesterol, you could end up low in bile and vitamin D. Cholesterol is a vital component of your cell membranes, hormones, and brain. ChatGPT falsely claims that seed oils are not “that bad” when used in moderation. Balance and moderation allow you to continue eating bad food without worrying about the consequences. If you have a chronic disease, you can not simply “balance” your diet. If you have diabetes, you do not want to spike insulin with carbohydrates. ChatGPT recommends legumes and grains for people with diabetes and small, frequent meals. This advice would continue to spike insulin, and would not help reverse diabetes! When asked about diet and nutrition for people with chronic diseases, ChatGPT ignores powerful ways to drastically improve one's health, such as increasing vitamin D and fasting. It continues to recommend moderation for ultra-processed foods, claiming that it is safe and healthy for 20% of your daily calories to be ultra-processed.
