Remembering Anas al-Sharif: A brave Al Jazeera reporter

On August 10, 2025, after warning of the danger, Anas al-Sharif – 28-year-old Al Jazeera reporter and four colleagues were struck in an attack targeting their media tent near Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza.
Anas was one of the last voices reporting from inside Gaza under extreme danger. With global media barred, they were the world’s eyes and ears. Before he passed, Anas posted: ‘I never hesitated to convey the truth as it is.’
