🇺🇸 Severe Flooding in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin (August 10, 2025)

🌊 Late Saturday night into early Sunday, Wauwatosa and surrounding parts of metro Milwaukee experienced historic flash flooding. Rainfalls reached 10–14 inches in many areas, overwhelming drainage systems and forcing the Menomonee River to spill further, submerging streets, homes, vehicles, and parkgrounds like Hart Park.

The Wisconsin State Fair was closed early. Thousands of emergency calls came in from residents affected by gas leaks and flooding. About 18,000 Milwaukee-area homes were without power.

The National Weather Service issued multiple flash flood warnings across southeast Wisconsin, while urging people to “turn around, don’t drown.” Nearly 500 emergency calls were logged in Wauwatosa alone.
