St. Paul, NJ - Footage shared by the Ramsey County Sheriff's Office shows deputies pursuing a suspect who was fleeing at speeds of up to 130 mph in St. Paul Saturday.

The video shows squad cars chasing down the suspect, who led police on a high-speed chase that started just before midnight along West Seventh Street.

The driver then proceeded along streets including Randolph Avenue, driving on the wrong side of the road and running red lights.

Eventually, a deputy executes a PIT maneuver forcing the suspect's vehicle to spin on Brimhall Street, with the driver quickly exiting and fleeing on foot.

His escape didn't last long though, with one of the deputies taking him into custody "at gunpoint" near Snelling Avenue.

The sheriff's office says the 25-year-old has a long criminal history, including six past charges of driving with a revoked license and fleeing law enforcement, and charges of obstruction, assault and DWI.
