The USN Adversary program at the Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC), often associated with TOPGUN, provides realistic "Red Air" training for Navy and Marine Corps aviators.
Using various aircraft, including F-16s, F/A-18s, and even some F-5s and F-35Cs, NAWDC's adversary pilots meticulously replicate the tactics and capabilities of potential enemy forces.
This specialized training is crucial for preparing naval aviators to identify, counter, and defeat advanced threats in real-world combat scenarios, ensuring the fleet maintains its warfighting edge.
