A dark but sweet adaption of the famous Greek myth: Hades & Persephone. A modern take on a timeless classic. In this version this isn't the first time they've separated, they've been on again off again into the modern era but decidedly their relationship is history.

"Although inspired by my own experiences: in this story Persephone cheats on Hades for his inability to show love; although this Hades character is incapable of change he acknowledges his and her flaws and accepts it. Although his take sounds a bit salty and resentful, it's primarily rhetorical. He's not bitter about it, but airs as if he is, playing up his shadow side for both their benefit: keeping her at bay, and hopefully changing her for the better. He remains her monster and the villain she wants him to be: for if he isn't The Evil One then she no longer has her illusion of "purity"..." - Squishface
