Fiery Crash on I-195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts
A deadly accident early Sunday morning on Interstate 195 in Dartmouth claimed the life of one person. Massachusetts State Police reported that the crash involved a single vehicle and happened just before 3 a.m. near the Faunce Corner Road exit.
According to investigators, the car veered off the road, hit a tree, and then burst into flames. When emergency crews arrived, the vehicle was already fully engulfed. The driver, who has not yet been identified, died at the scene.
The crash shut down the westbound lanes of I-195 for several hours while authorities investigated and cleared the wreckage. By mid-morning, the highway had reopened to traffic.
State Police are continuing to investigate what caused the car to leave the road.
