Man Shot in Aurora After Pointing Gun at Officers During Domestic Call

On June 14, 2025, at approximately 5:45 p.m., Aurora Police Officers responded to a domestic dispute in the 15800 block of East Arkansas Drive. Around 6 p.m., a 58-year-old man was shot and hospitalized with life-threatening injuries. No officers were injured. The incident arose from a conflict between a husband and wife. Upon arrival, officers separated the couple, and the husband moved to the garage. While speaking with him, he retrieved a handgun from a toolbox and pointed it at the officers despite commands to drop it. One officer fired, and the officer has been placed on paid administrative leave per agency policy.
