The words "real" and "exist" are attached to beliefs, but what is really important?
Answer is INFORMATION.
As long as there is information then whatever is experience IS, even if some will not call it "real" or as "existing".
People that say "it is just ... a dream ... imagination" don't take into account that it is also information.
What is the difference between "my imagination" and information? My imagination is like information that starts with a query from me. But that query can end up in a shared reality, in a shared response.
What to check in a reality? If you find other beings ask them if they see what you see, if they experience what they experience. Try to check if that reality has fixed rules, like this one, etc.
Now, talking about this physical reality, I don't think it is real, I think it is a virtual reality, agreeing with the concepts written by Tom Campbell in his My Big TOE Trilogy.

I forgot to clarify what information is. You have information when you have a differentiation. The most fundamental and simple information is a bit, where you have 2 possibilities (off/on, 0/1, dark/light, sound/no sound, etc.). If you experience a difference then you can't avoid to conclude that there is information."
