Al Jazeera Journalists MURDERED In TARGETED Israeli Attack

An outpouring of grief and condemnation has followed the Israeli assassination of four Al Jazeera journalists in Gaza, including prominent correspondent Anas al-Sharif.

The drone attack late on Sunday hit a tent for journalists positioned outside the main gate of Gaza City's al-Shifa Hospital. Among those murdered were Al Jazeera correspondent Mohammed Qreiqeh and camera operators Ibrahim Zaher and Mohammed Noufal. Also murdered were freelance cameraman Momen Aliwa and freelance journalist Mohammed al-Khalidi.

Just hours earlier, al-Sharif, 28, had posted on X about Israel's "intense, concentrated bombardment" on eastern and southern Gaza City. Known for his fearless reporting from northern Gaza, he had become one of the most recognizable voices documenting the ongoing Israeli genocide in the enclave.

The Al Jazeera Media Network has condemned what it called a "targeted assassination" of its journalists.

The Palestinian mission to the United Nations accused Israel of "deliberately assassinating" al-Sharif and Qreiqeh, describing them as among the "last remaining journalists" in Gaza.

"They have systematically and dutifully exposed and documented Israel's genocide and starvation," the mission said on X. "As Israel continues to ethnically cleanse Gaza, its enemy remains the truth: the brave journalists exposing its heinous crimes."

Kshama Sawant, is an Economist and former Member of the Seattle City Council. She is running for Congress to build a movement that can end the Israeli state’s genocide in Gaza and to put a stop to the hundreds of billions of dollars being spent by the United States, to fund imperialist invasions around the world.

We need an immediate end to all U.S. military funding for the Israeli genocide machine and to the brutal occupation of Gaza and the West Bank. The roots of the crisis are in the Israeli occupation, which has been backed by U.S. imperialism for more than three quarters of a century because of the strategic interests of U.S. billionaires in the oil-rich Western Asia. We need to build the strongest possible movement against both Donald Trump and the Democrats’ genocidal plans for Gaza.

Most of the time, working people have no political representation under capitalism. It's the worst kept secret in the world. A plurality of Americans believe neither the Democrats nor the Republicans represent them. The approval ratings of both Donald Trump and Congressional Democrats are in the gutter.
