'Alien: Earth' explores humanity's place in 'food chain', creator says

The "Alien" franchise is evolving from its roots as a survival horror into a sprawling epic television series. "By bringing the story to Earth, we're shifting to, can humanity itself survive" the show's creator, Noah Hawley, said.
