A wearable biopatch aims to stop farmworkers from overheating

In collaboration with Georgia Tech, researchers at Emory University in Atlanta have developed a small wearable biopatch device that attaches to a worker’s chest and monitors vital signs like skin temperature, heart rate, and respiratory rate. Lead researcher Roxana Chicas says they're trying to prevent farmworkers from potentially deadly heat-related illnesses. This report produced by Jillian Kitchener.
