Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords (PS2 - 2007) Druid playthrough 3/29

An RPG where the battles are head-to-head match-3.
I start out by making another attempt at defeating that Vampire Bat to complete the Bats in the Belfry quest and fail again. I'm able to build a Mage Tower, which lets me learn spells from enemies I capture. I capture my first enemy, a Giant Rat, which I'm able to make my mount, which gives some bonuses in combat. Capturing enemies involves clearing the entire board of gems by making matches. I make one unsuccessful attempt at defeating the Minotaur in the Slavers quest and leave it for later. I'm finally able to defeat the Vampire Bat and finish off the Bats in the Belfry quest before resuming the main quest line. I've built up enough funds to build a Stable, which allows the training of your mounts to increase the bonus they give your hero. To train mounts, you have to defeat an enemy of the mount's type in the normal 1v1 match-3 battle, getting more powerful each time you try to train. After training my Giant Rat up a couple levels, I defeat the Minotaur in the Slavers quest, leaving the 2nd step for the next play session.
