Reaction Force for Civil Unrest Under Consideration, Report Alleges

A new National Guard force that would react to incidents of civil unrest is allegedly being considered. The Washington Post alleges that unreleased documents propose a new “Domestic Civil Disturbance Quick Reaction Force.” The alleged proposal appears to follow a similar model to the deployment of the National Guard to respond to recent riots in Los Angeles and the new deployments in Washington to quell crime in the nation's capital.
