In their apartment, Gordon and Susan go over a list of chores that they have to do today. They decide that the best way to get through them is to cooperate. As they go through the list, they each negotiate an item — "I'll do this if you do this" — ending with Gordon promising to take out the garbage if Susan... gives him a kiss.
