If you grew up with unstable, unpredictable parents or caregivers, you may know the cycle: one day life feels good, the next day everything falls apart. Over time, your brain learns to expect that pattern — so even when life is good, you’re bracing for the bad.

This is the trauma cycle that keeps so many survivors *afraid to hope*. We think, “Good things can’t last for me. I don’t deserve it.” But what you believe tends to become your reality.
