Big Block Modifieds at Madison Lake

A Regional career race at Madison Lake Motorsport Park on Hard difficulty. The track surface is mostly smooth with bumps on the very bottom of the track. This track is shaped like a hot dog with decent room for maneuverability around traffic. The track does get slick fast just off the bottom and up to the cushion as the night progresses. You will notice a big falloff in lap times after Practice, and the bottom will get harder and harder to hit. If you get over the cushion, the marbles do provide some traction, but too much momentum will send you into the wall. I find the bottom fastest through Qualifying, top and bottom similar for the Heats, and then the top for the Dash and Feature.

A pretty good caution free race. A little bit of bumping here, as it is harder to avoid with a slick bottom and the AI sliding up to the wall on the straights. Also entering the corner, the AI likes to stay high before chopping down to run the bottom. It can be tricky at times to get a good run on the top and setup for the next corner. The AI will swap around lanes quite a bit, making passing even more difficult. Very good traffic navigation considering how the AI tend to drive the track and limited traction on the bottom. Also got into the wall a couple times as the car slid a little more than expected or entered too high while trying to go above an AI car that wanted to go low at the last second. Overall though the race was very good with plenty of fast paced close quarters racing.
