I’m flying in formation with 35 of my Cherokee-driving friends into EAA Airventure in Oshkosh WI! Climb inside the cockpit with us as part of the “Cherokees to Oshkosh” mass arrival at the World’s Largest Airshow!

Believe it or not, this is one of the safest, coolest & fun ways to fly into OSH, once you are comfortable formation flying. We did not have to fly the FISK! We had a reserved landing time, prearranged runway designation, and dedicated space in the North 40 to park and camp. "Just fly the airplane."

Cherokees to Oshkosh ‘CtO’ (youtube/@Cherokees2Oshkosh) is an organization that teaches & promotes safe formation flying tactics and organizes the Piper Cherokee “Mass Arrival” into Oshkosh each year.

We rallied at KCWA (‘SEA-WAY’ for the locals) in central Wisconsin the Friday & Saturday preceding OSH. We ran a formation flying mini-clinic and then dress rehearsal flights. On Sunday July 20th, it was a final briefing at 9am and go time! Wheels up at 11 for 12pm arrival into KOSH. Shout out to Ovation FBO for outstanding service & support all weekend long!

Our own Chip Gentry does a LIVE interview from the cockpit with OSH tower on our approach. We arrived on Rwy 9 KOSH at 12:03 pm, taxied and got settled into our CtO space in the North 40.
