Tenant called 📞 me after court ⚖️… and I don’t know what’s coming next 👀

Wow… the tenant actually reached out after the court hearing wanting to discuss what’s next.
Now I’m wondering — what’s this call going to be about?
💭 Does she want to stay and work something out?
💭 Is she going to yell, threaten to damage the property, or make demands?
💭 Or is she ready to come to a real agreement to keep her tenancy?
In property management, this is where things get interesting. Even after the magistrate’s decision, there’s still a 10-Day Appeal period in North Carolina where a tenant can pay in full to stop the eviction and stay in the home. But trust is built on action, not promises — and after too many “I’ll pay” stories, I always proceed with caution.
This call could go in any direction — and as a property manager, you have to be ready for all of them.
✅ Keep the conversation professional
✅ Stick to the lease terms and legal process
✅ Document everything
Let’s see what she has to say…
Let’s go!
