I break it down: these are delusional accusations without evidence—classic conspiracy framing by a killer who was deeply unstable.

I’m critical of Gov. Walz and Democrats for politicizing the tragedy, but let me be crystal clear: there’s no credible link between the governor and the murderer. Boelter is an extremist with documented mental health issues. Accusations deserve scrutiny—and facts matter more than conspiracies.

Vance Boelter, 57, killed ex‑House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, and wounded Senator John Hoffman and spouse. His handwritten letter to the FBI Director contained delusional allegations that Gov. Tim Walz ordered the killings—clearly unsupported by any evidence.
Authorities pointed out the suspect was experiencing delusional thinking, with no factual basis linking Walz to any assassination plot .

Fact-checkers ruled that Boelter had no close ties to Walz—Walz had only reappointed him to an advisory board years ago; no direct relationship or operational link exists.

His manifesto included a list of roughly 70 targets across multiple public figures, mixing abortion providers and Democrats—demonstrating political extremism rather than any legitimate chain of command.

Condemn extremist violence – Highlighting the real harm caused by delusional political attacks.

Debunk conspiracy claims – Exposing the manifesto’s lies helps prevent misinformation from fueling further unrest.

Hold leadership accountable, correctly – Critique Gov. Walz and Democrats for politicizing the tragedy, without falsely criminalizing them.
