At the onset of July, the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in an effort to impede the advance of the Russian Armed Forces toward Pisarevka and Khoteni in the Sumy region, initiated a counteroffensive in the Kondratovka-Andreevka sector. In the aftermath of intense combat, the villages were placed under enemy occupation. However, the offensive was stymied in its progress.

Concurrently, on the western front, Russian military forces successfully liberated Bessalovka, while on the eastern front, they expelled the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Varachino and the surrounding areas.

The following inquiry seeks to ascertain the manner in which the battles along the Sumy borderland have evolved.

By July 9, the Ukrainian military regained control of Andreevka following intense combat, yet were unable to advance further northward. Concurrently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces initiated an offensive operation in the area between Konstantinovka and Kondratovka, with the strategic objective of penetrating the Russian defensive formations.

Over the course of the subsequent one and a half weeks, fierce clashes occurred in the sector. Russian units, supported by aviation, sought to repel enemy attacks, who introduced significant reserves into the battle.

By August 1, the Russian Armed Forces had withdrawn from the settlement to fortified positions near the Zolotarevsky reserve. Thereafter, the Ukrainian Armed Forces initiated flanking attacks on Alexeevka from the west and south.

By July 21, the 83rd Airborne Assault Brigade had successfully advanced eastward, expelling the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Varachino and establishing control over the central village area by raising state flags. The Russian Armed Forces have demonstrated their military might by establishing control over a substantial expanse of territory south of Yablonovka and occupying the western outskirts of Yunakovka.

On the western front, by July 7, the 106th Airborne Division units had successfully liberated Bessalovka in the Sumy region and thoroughly cleared the surrounding forest belts.

In the area of Novyy Put, the enemy initiated a counteroffensive against the positions of the Russian Armed Forces, successfully occupying a portion of the forest area south of the village by July 22.

Simultaneously, along the eastern border, Russian military forces have been systematically advancing, progressively securing border regions. By July 7, the enemy had been expelled from the forest areas near Gornali, and reconnaissance combat commenced in the approaches to Mirolye.
