Shalom, in this video I continue this journey of going through Genesis, but there is a big change in this video of chapter ten. This video is read in a more ancient pronunciation of Hebrew. I hope you enjoy this. This is the pronunciation of the language I love to read the Bible in and pray and worship, praising the creator of the universe. It is called Lashon Haqodesh, the Holy Tongue, and to me it makes sense to read a book in the way it was originally written in.
In this chapter there's a lot going on. From names that appear in Ezekiel 38, to distinction of tribal territories and the first mention of Gaza in the Bible. A fascinating geneology that is good to be familiar while reading the Bible. Some of these names appear many times again in the Bible, like Ashur, who is the father of the Assyrians and Yavan, who is associated with the Ionians/Greeks. I discuss some Arabic in this video and how it relates to Hebrew.
