Which math genius created the numerals?

Within Base-12 mathematics there are the same nine familiar numerals, plus two more called dec and el. All the numerals have the quality of being able to be attached to a particular geometric pattern in such a way that their design contains the value of the number that it represents. In addition, there is more mathematical information encoded within the symbol, and the implications that there was someone in the past which created the numerals from a dozenal standpoint are far reaching and profound.
