Canada is inching toward a future where speech is no longer free.

"Fake news" has been rebranded by government as "misinformation," "disinformation," and "hate speech" — vague terms now being used to justify censorship.

Bills like C-11 open the door to tighter control over what Canadians can say, hear, and share. From debates on gender to historical events, the government is setting the stage to decide what’s acceptable speech — and what gets silenced.

Once, journalism stood for: “I hate what you say, but I’ll defend your right to say it.”
Now? It’s: “I hate what you say, and no one else should hear it either.”
This is a red flag. And it should concern every Canadian.
