Pup Learns Crabbing

This is Missy’s 3rd time training for hermit crabbing. She enjoys it now, gives her something to do. Still working a little more on the leave it part but I don’t have to point them out so much, she goes looking on her own. Missy’s still confused about why it rains or pours; yet it was a great rain because she didn’t encounter any thunder or lightning! She is slowly getting into the water past her ankles😆 Fully wet, she looks like a Dalmatian. I’m sure she was craving fish after her crabbing at the bay came to an end. I know she likes seafood, so I rewarded her the next morning with something new and omg, super fishy, rather than tunafish. WOW, I’ll have to post a video about that experience for me, she loved it, and it came right out of a can, processed for humans. It is 13 hours later this morning, and the horrible fish smell is still in the house. Can you guess which canned fish product stinks up the house for so long? I bought it to share but I’ll never be able to taste it or ever open it indoors again. Feed her that stuff outdoors!

Hermit crabs are not known to transmit any diseases to us, as opposed to turtles and reptiles which are known to carry salmonella.
