The situation on the front line is critical, with Ukrainian forces encircled and facing strong Russian advances in several directions, including Kostyantynivka, Dobropillia, Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka, Velyka Novosilka, and others. Key villages are under heavy attack or already contested, and there is a risk of further territorial losses. The Russian offensive is rapid and extensive, stretching Ukrainian defenses and threatening major logistical hubs.

In particular, fighting is intense near Dobropillia, Zolotyi Kolodyaz, Pokrovsk, and along the Siversk and Lyman directions, where Russian forces are pushing close to strategic towns and attempting to encircle Ukrainian units. While some fronts like Kharkiv remain relatively stable, overall the Ukrainian lines are under severe pressure.

Amid this, the German Chancellor and NATO Secretary General emphasize that Ukraine and President Zelensky must participate in negotiations with Russia and the U.S. regarding the conflict’s resolution. However, U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham suggests Ukraine may need to cede some territory to reach a deal, though Ukraine has not captured any Russian land. This proposed territorial exchange is viewed critically, as it essentially means Ukraine giving up its own land while it gains nothing.

President Zelensky and Ukraine’s allies continue to call for strong international support and sanctions against Russia to pressure a peaceful resolution, as Russia shows no signs of stopping its attacks.
