Genesis 6

Genesis 6 describes a time when human wickedness had greatly increased on the earth. The "sons of God" took wives from the "daughters of men," and the Nephilim—mighty and renowned figures—lived during this period. God saw the corruption and violence filling the world and was grieved, deciding to limit human lifespan to 120 years and to bring judgment through a great flood. Amid the widespread evil, Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord, setting the stage for God’s plan of salvation through him.
