Forever in My Heart: A Cherished Moment of My Brother, Jeremy
This video, filmed in the sun-soaked beauty of Lake Havasu City in 1992/1993, captures a precious moment in time with my Grandfather, Jerry and my beloved brother, Jeremy Adam.
Lake Havasu City, Arizona, with its shimmering waters and vibrant desert energy, was a place of joy and togetherness for our family—a backdrop to laughter, adventure, and unbreakable bonds. In these frames, you’ll see Jeremy’s infectious smile and boundless enthusiasm, qualities that defined his all-too-brief life.
Jeremy Adam was born on March 15, 1980, and from the moment he entered our world, he was a light in every room. His passion for sports was unmatched; he lived for basketball, idolizing legends like Michael Jordan and Larry Bird, whose trading cards he collected with a gleam in his eye. Whether he was cheering for his beloved Oakland Raiders or flipping through his prized collection of pogs, Jeremy had a way of making every moment feel alive with possibility. His competitive spirit, kind heart, and quick wit drew people to him, forging friendships that remain etched in the hearts of those who knew him.
Tragically, on October 20, 1994, at just 14 years old, Jeremy’s life was stolen by a drunk driver. The pain of his loss is indescribable, a wound that time can never fully heal. Yet, even in his final moments, Jeremy’s selflessness shone through. His organ donations gave the gift of life to others, a testament to the generosity that defined him. This video is more than a memory—it’s a tribute to Jeremy’s enduring legacy, a celebration of the love he shared, and a reminder of the fragility of life.
As we revisit these moments from Lake Havasu City, we honor Jeremy and my grandfather (My Hero), whose wisdom and warmth also grace these memories. We hold them close, cherishing the laughter, the stories, and the love that filled those days. This video also serves as a call to action: to hold your loved ones a little tighter, to live with the same passion Jeremy did, and to advocate tirelessly against drunk driving, so no other family endures the heartbreak we carry.Jeremy’s spirit lives on—in every game played, every card traded, and every life touched by his kindness.
May this video inspire us all to live fully, love deeply, and make a difference, just as Jeremy did in his 14 remarkable years.
