applauding the House Oversight Committee subpoenas
to former President Bill Clinton
and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
along with eight others.
The Oversight Committee also continuing its investigation
into Joe Biden's mental fitness and the use of the auto pen
during Biden's presidency.
Former Biden senior advisor Anita Dunn testified last Thursday
telling the committee that Biden's inner circle
came to the conclusion that he should not take a cognitive test
even though she said they all felt that,
no, he would pass one easily.
Earlier in the week, former Biden Deputy Chief of Staff
Bruce Reed told the committee,
ex-White House doctor Kevin O'Connor
dismissed cognitive tests as "meaningless."
Joining me now in this Sunday morning future is
the chairman of the House Oversight Committee,
Kentucky Congressman James Comer.
Mr. Chairman, good to see you.

I want to first talk about these subpoenas
to Hillary and Bill Clinton.
When are you expecting them to come in to testify under oath?
We've asked them to come in in October.
We've given them specific dates.
What makes these subpoenas special and historical
is that they came as a result of a bipartisan vote.
The Democrats made a motion,
like we knew they would, to subpoena the Epstein documents,
which Republicans support.
Scott Perry from Pennsylvania amended that motion
to include subpoenas for both Bill and Hillary Clinton
as well as six former attorneys generals
and the Democrats voted for it.
Now they're scared and trying to say they didn't vote for it,
but they did. It's on record.
And that helps us in court.
If the Clintons try to fight this subpoena,
which we presume they will,
this subpoena came as a result of a bipartisan vote,
which has never happened before
in the House Oversight Committee.
So we're looking forward to hearing from the Clintons.
The American people want to know what went on on Epstein Island.
We know Clinton went there many times.
We just want to ask Bill Clinton what he saw
when he was there and who all was involved.
Well, I mean, look, there's a lot of information to be gained
from an interview under oath with Hillary and Bill Clinton,
that's for sure.
Would you also get into Russia collusion?
Well, we would like to ask about that.
I'm sure their lawyers are going to be negotiating the terms.
The subpoena was issued a few days
before the Russia collusion story really broke.
But certainly we're going to ask as many questions as we can ask.
This is an opportunity to get the Clintons under oath,

and we'll get answers to a lot of questions
that the American people have.
So you say that they're going to be fighting this.
You think this is going to go through the courts?
I would be shocked if it did not go to the courts.
But again, one thing that stands out is this bipartisan vote.
We've never had that.
I've been chairman of the House Oversight Committee for a year and a half, Maria,
and I've never lost a subpoena battle.
This is the toughest battle that we're going to face,
is getting the Clintons in here.
But again, that bipartisan vote,
and I want to thank the Democrats on the House Oversight Committee
for voting for that subpoena.
The president has already said he wants to see Adam Schiff held accountable
for the countless lies he told the American people
in relation to the Russiagate scandal.
I brought Tulsi Gabbard out to this podium to talk to you about all of that.
And this administration is taking accountability very seriously.
As for this new FBI whistleblower report,
I understand Cash Patel last night declassified a 302 FBI document
showing that a whistleblower who is a Democrat,
a career intelligence officer who worked for Democrats
on the House Intel Committee for more than a decade,
repeatedly warned the FBI in 2017
that then-Ref Adam Schiff had approved
leaking classified information to smear then-President Donald Trump
over the Russiagate scandal.
This is obviously a bombshell whistleblower report.
Hopefully more people in this room will cover it as such.
James Comey decided not to work through the FBI press office
when he wanted to change the narrative in Washington,
burnish his reputation against attacks from Democrats
and try to sully Donald Trump's reputation.
If you remember, Democrats were mad that James Comey led out of the bag
just before the election, that there might be some new evidence
in the Hillary Clinton email scandal.
Hillary blamed Comey for throwing the election.
She blamed the Russians for throwing the election.
She blamed everybody but herself for throwing the election for her.
But Comey was trying to rehabilitate that.
And so he had an intermediary, a Columbia law professor
by the name of Daniel Richmond, who the FBI confirmed and interviewed.
And Richmond said, "Yes, I used my relationship
with a New York Times reporter named Michael Schmidt."
He's one of the authors of the Pulitzer Prize-winning package
that President Trump is now suing over.
And my goal was to improve negative stories about James Comey
and to set a narrative, i.e. set the Russia collusion narrative.
This guy worked around the official channels of the FBI press office.
And at one point, the FBI noted, "You met with James Comey.
He gave you access to classified information.
A short while later, you had a conversation with that New York Times reporter,
and he ends up reporting something that appears to be classified.
Did you do it?"
And he gives, I think, perhaps the most famous denial people will remember
since Bill Clinton says it depends what the meaning of the word "is" is
when he tried to obfuscate whether he had an affair with Monica Lewinsky.
He says, "I can say, I don't think I confirm the information.
I can say with a discount that I didn't give him the classified information.
With a discount means you've got to give me some room."

working with the Chi-Coms of Venezuela to engage in this.

Okay. First, just to have the bounty on me, because you remember the
Venezuelan election last July 28th that looked like the whole world said it's nonsense.
And they, 17 Latin American states said we won't recognize it.
Carter, all that stuff. Do you remember the out of hand?

And I'll tell you why they think I hacked their election.
In a typical Venezuelan election, what happens is the dictator gets
two million votes, the opposition gets seven million votes,
and then they stuff five and a half million ballots.
So seven and a half million beats seven and they win time and time and time again.
Four years ago, they introduced a new system.
You have to give not just your ID, but your thumbprint when you vote in Venezuela.
They say it's for security.
What their system really does is it ties your ballot when you're a Venezuelan,
you vote, it ties your ballot to your image, to your thumbprint.
So they can look up how you voted, Alex, and go in and see how you voted
and arrest the right people.
Now that creates a problem.
How do you stuff five and a half million ballots
when you don't have those five and a half million thumbs?
They have a secret tool that is in every precinct that there are people who use to,
it basically, it generates the nine digit code as if a valid thumb was put in it
and opens the machine so it can take a ballot.
And so that's how it works.
So they have this secret tool and that tool was working right up through Saturday,
July 27th at midnight.
And at 1201, their secret cheating tool started spitting out random nine digit numbers.
They couldn't stuff.
By noon, they went crazy because all over the country they weren't able to stuff.
They canceled, Venezuela canceled all its normal,
normally they have TV and as the votes roll in all day they say,
"Oh, what do you know, we just won by a hair again."
This time they canceled all their television, they came out the next morning and we said,
"Hey, we won 51, 49, screw you."
And they rounded up 2,000 protest leaders.
And the whole world is like said, "This is a garbage election."
Well, 10 days later when they opened up their secret cheating tool,
they discovered something that made them think that I might know something about these facts, Alex.
And they came to the conclusion that I did it.
So that's why they put the $25 million bounty on me.
Now, going forward, I have for four years been saying this all leads through Venezuela
to the ultimate chairman of the board of this operation is China of this whole system.

And so and these engineers, why are they scared enough to do the right thing now?
What changed? They're from different nations.
They saw I asked them that it's not for money.
It's I mean, we've I've gone through 80 million dollars, frankly, to get this done.
It's I asked them that and they give answers like we see that the world two years ago,
one of them gave me this answer. We see the world is sliding off the edge.
There is maybe one country that can save it.

This is a guy who's like been part of this for years.

people mad about the border. And we sort of helped all this get off the ground.
