On August 1, 2025, a man was critically injured in a shooting at the Parkway Express Gas Station at 1393 Mississippi Boulevard in South Memphis, Tennessee. Memphis Police responded to an aggravated assault call just before 2:50 a.m. and found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition.

Surveillance footage revealed the victim walking in front of the store when a male suspect approached from behind, firing several shots. As the victim stumbled, the suspect retrieved a second handgun from his waistband and fired additional rounds before fleeing northbound on Mississippi Boulevard, then eastbound on Bullington Avenue. The suspect was described as wearing a black hoodie, blue bucket hat with a white logo, black pants, white shoes with orange and green accents, a blue glove on his right hand, and a black face covering. He carried two silver-colored handguns.

Police suspect the victim and shooter may have known each other, though this remains unconfirmed.
