The Truth About Revival: Why It Won’t Save America Without This

When a wrecking ball hits the top of the mountains of culture, history calls it a reformation—and reformations are what transform institutions. Revival, on the other hand, is personal and often local—it changes hearts and people, not systems. That’s why we need to get our language right: revival changes people, but reformation changes nations. Everyone’s praying for revival in America, thinking it’ll fix the country, but revival alone won’t transform institutions. What we need is the ecclesia—the called-out ones—going into the mountains of influence, not just waiting for people to come into the church.
