Man threw sandwich at CBP agent

A man from Washington, D.C., continues to face felony assault charges after allegedly throwing a Subway sandwich at a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officer last Sunday night.

According to police reports, the suspect reportedly called the officer a “fascist” and said, “I don’t want you in my city” before throwing the food at him.

The U.S. Attorney for D.C., Jeanine Pirro, emphasized that this incident is no laughing matter and stressed that attacks on federal officers are taken extremely seriously. Authorities are continuing to investigate the case and are evaluating potential additional charges.
