Only you can prevent forest fires. In this case we are preparing to light a fire, a prescribed burn. The Tennessee Department of Forestry will execute a prescribed burn of 30 acres, but the fire break needs to pass inspection first. I had been measuring 10ft wide at chest height, common for many forestry measurements. The firebreak needed to be 10ft of clear dirt at the ground. I worked on widening, removing more trees, and putting in more erosion control. Hopefully we pass inspection......
