Worthy of Praise & Worship – Psalms 8+9

Have you ever put on some good Christian music and just let loose in praise and worship? By its nature, good music stirs the soul. God made it that way. So when music stirs the soul to praise and worship the LORD, it's even better! There is something unique and intensely personal in the act of genuine worship. It bonds the Christian's soul to the LORD. And by the way, it's okay to let loose!

Psalm 8+9 are songs of intense praise and worship. As I read them, I can almost feel the intensity of David's spirit. I can easily imagine him, standing among the congregation in the tabernacle, passionately worshiping God as the worship team plays these two songs. To be sure, I wish every Christian knew how, and would be willing, to worship God with the same intensity they put into the things that are most important to them.
